The National Platform Slavery Past is a collaborative body of member organisations. This collaborative body is led by the General Board. Each member organisation affiliated with the National Platform is part of the General Board. To this end, they delegate 1 permanent representative. An Executive Board has been mandated from the General Board. The Executive Board has a steering and executive function towards the various participants and co-partners.
Member organizations of the national platform on slavery history
The affiliation as a member organization of the National Platform on Slavery History takes place in accordance with the statutorily prescribed procedures and criteria.
Local memorial organizations
The aim of the National Platform for the History of Slavery is to support as many local and national self-organisations as possible that are active in the field of processing the Dutch slavery past.
Sister organizations of the National Platform for Slavery Past
The Dutch slavery past took place in the international triangle of the Netherlands, Africa and Curacao/Suriname. In Curacao and Suriname, active work is also being done to process the Dutch slavery past. Within this context, the National Platform Slavery Past maintains relationships with organizations in these countries, intended to support, advise and complement each other in the process of actively processing the Dutch slavery file. There is also cooperation with international organizations that aim to: pursue “Reparation” for the crimes committed against African humanity and to combat racism.
